WHO ARE YOU? TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF.

Hi! I'm Elizabeth Mayville, an artist from the Midwest. I earned my BFA in 2006 and have been making work that has to do with the small and beautiful moments of a quiet day ever since. I love working to scale back my life and focusing on the small wonders that make a moment remarkable, even if they can be easily overlooked.

WHAT DO YOU MAKE?

I make oil paintings, gouache paintings and high quality giclee prints of those paintings.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

West Michigan

WHAT HAS BEEN MAKING YOU EXCITED LATELY?

My stack of to-read books, paintings by John Dubrow, finding out that there is a The West Wing podcast.

IF YOU COULD LEARN A NEW SKILL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I want to learn how to play the cello.

COFFEE OR TEA?

Coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon.

WHAT DO YOU WATCH OR LISTEN TO IN THE BACKGROUND WHEN YOU ARE MAKING?

Podcasts.
